About The Position

NextGen Security, LLC is seeking an experienced electronic security installation technician to join their fast-growing and dynamic team. This role involves physically installing field cabling and equipment, some system programming, and project activation and commissioning. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining: Electronic access control systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining: IP-Based video management systems
  • Networking and IT knowledge.
  • Superior problem solving and communication skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
  • Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Work, Excel Etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel or similar.
  • Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, and/or Milestone or similar.
  • Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications in Senstar/Optellios, and/or FFT.
  • Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementation.
  • TWIC Cardholder.
