About The Position

As a System Control Technician within the IT Practices Quality Assurance department, you will intervene in the systems, software packages, and software to support the company's mission. You will perform tasks related to technical support, as well as production deployment and testing. You will carry out the following functions: Technical Support Role: Process service requests and resolve incidents and problems escalated to you, in collaboration with other stakeholders, in accordance with current processes and procedures, ensuring that established service levels are met and documenting your interventions and solutions in the service request management system and knowledge base. Document procedures related to the execution of service requests, with a view to reuse or to entrust their execution to other stakeholders. Perform tasks related to the control of software, software packages, or systems, in a context related to their maintenance, monitoring, production control, or automated tasks. Support Role for Production Deployment and Testing: Perform quality control tests (operational, functional, or integrated). Contribute to the writing of functional or acceptance testing strategies. Support users during periods of change and facilitate the transition caused by these changes. Interact effectively and in synergy with colleagues and those from all sectors of the organization with whom we must work. Collaborate in the continuous improvement of products and services.

Requirements

  • Hold a DEC in computer science or administration or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in information technology, including one (1) year in functions comparable to those described previously.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written French.

  • Knowledge of Guidewire software (the Opera suite) is an asset.
