About The Position

The Control System Engineer will be responsible for writing permits for applicable work on site, supporting field technicians in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and traveling to ExxonMobil business locations to install custom RedLion Software. This role involves making modifications to software to ensure correct data mapping to control systems, verifying and rectifying ATG device configurations, and acting as a liaison between various personnel to troubleshoot data feeds. The engineer will also interface with the OS&S Measurement team for guidance and document installed software for archival purposes. A key deliverable is enabling central tank sales with Smart Tank at 80% of the total sales volume.

Requirements

  • BE/BTech/BS in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical
  • 10 to 12 years of experience
  • Experience in Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradely PLC

Responsibilities

  • Write Permits for any applicable work required on site.
  • Support and work cooperatively with field technicians to diagnose and resolve communication failures, equipment malfunctions and general technical issues on site or via remote access.
  • Travel to ExxonMobil business locations to install custom RedLion Software.
  • Make slight modifications to software to ensure that all mappings are correct and flowing into upper level control systems appropriately.
  • Verify ATG device configuration is correct.
  • Rectify any misconfigurations through a Management of Change.
  • Be the liaison between IT/SCADA, Measurement, and Production Accounting Personnel to troubleshoot ATG data feeds from Device to ProCount.
  • Interface with OS&S Measurement team for functional guidance.
  • Document installed RedLion software for appropriate archival and audit history.
