About The Position

This role is designed to assist the Systems technician with various hands-on duties. The primary objective is to provide support in maintaining and upgrading campus technology infrastructure.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn new and old technology.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Familiarity with hand tools (drills, drywall saw, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and with a partner.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, and mobile device operating systems.
• Knowledge of home networking and wireless troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of gaming consoles/smart devices.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Linux experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Replacing and repairing wireless hardware and telecommunications equipment.
• Performing network device registration.
• Managing and installing digital signage.
• Pulling wired networking cabling for campus infrastructure repair or upgrades.
• Providing help desk support.
• Supporting the media center with projector installation and configuration.
• Answering phones and responding to email/work requests.
• Performing moderate ladder climbing.
