About The Position
The System Supervisor Sterile Processing performs the principal functions associated with the role; these statements describe general duties and are not a complete account of all work requirements. The position requires thorough knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization processes, as well as sterile processing and supply management experience. Flexible hours and weekend call are required.
Requirements
- Previous sterile processing experience with supply management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization processes.
- Certification as a Central Supply Processing Technician or Central Service Technician (CBSPD or CRCST), or the ability to obtain certification within one year.
- Must have passed, or complete within two years, the CHL (Certified Healthcare Leader for sterile processing management) certification exam.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation and supply management.
- Proficient in planning, organizing, and time management.
- Detail-oriented.
- Able to tolerate emotional and mental stress.
- Able to maintain good rapport and collaborate with all departments.
- Good computer skills, including previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexible hours and weekend call are required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of AAMI Guidelines.
