About The Position

Kaeser Compressors, Inc. is seeking individuals who have worked in an industrial service environment to fill the position of System Monitoring Specialist based in our Fredericksburg office. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring all Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through remote monitoring, acting on system alarms and email notifications, and proactively coordinating with Service Operations to dispatch technicians for critical alarms and preventative maintenance services. Responsibilities also include coordinating site visits for inspections and audits, analyzing data to correlate faults and system trends, supervising site work when necessary, and participating in an on-call rotation for critical alarms outside of standard business hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required or 3+ years job related experience.
  • Good customer service experience.
  • Ability to understand and produce/edit technical documents.
  • Good communication skills/phone skills required.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Regular physical attendance at the worksite.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a technician, troubleshooting or mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Familiar with data processing including graphing and interpretation preferred.
  • Understanding of compressed air systems and the application of supply side components preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through remote monitoring.
  • Act on system alarms and e-mail notifications by dialing in to the compressor station.
  • Proactively coordinate with Service Operations to dispatch technicians for critical alarms and preventative maintenance services.
  • Coordinate site visits for inspections and audits to determine potential areas of improvement.
  • Analyze data to correlate faults in system, recognize system trends and service and maintenance lifecycle calculations, and report findings as necessary.
  • Supervise site work when necessary to ensure adherence to the specifications and approved budgets.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and coordinate resolution for critical alarms that may occur outside of standard business hours as necessary.
