About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a System Integration & Test Engineer in Orlando, Florida for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support subsystem and system-level integration, qualification, and test activities in a laboratory environment. The engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, support environmental and electromagnetic testing, investigate hardware and software anomalies, and help maintain compliant and efficient lab operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • 1+ year of system integration and/or test experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with test planning, test execution, laboratory operations, and test analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience developing technical test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Experience supporting subsystem and/or system-level integration and testing.
  • Experience preparing test equipment and laboratory facilities for test events.
  • Experience investigating hardware, software, and/or test-equipment anomalies.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of Integration and Test experience involving hardware integration.
  • Experience with sensor integration.
  • Experience with Design Verification Testing (DVT).
  • Experience developing or supporting test fixtures.
  • Experience with environmental qualification testing.
  • Experience with Environmental Stress Screening (ESS).
  • Experience with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing.
  • Experience with Functional Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
  • Ability to analyze complex test data and recommend product or design improvements.
  • Experience working in fast-paced engineering environments with multiple priorities.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute subsystem and system-level integration and test plans and procedures.
  • Prepare test equipment, instrumentation, and laboratory facilities for test events.
  • Support Design Verification Testing and qualification testing.
  • Perform or support ESS, EMI, and functional acceptance testing of new hardware.
  • Investigate hardware, software, and test-equipment failures or anomalies.
  • Support root-cause analysis and resolution of test issues.
  • Provide engineering evaluations of system redesigns, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Analyze test results and document findings and recommendations.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation.
  • Support hardware integration and system qualification activities.
  • Help manage laboratory operations, including compliance, 6S, audits, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams throughout integration and test activities.
