About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a System Integration Test Engineer in Palmdale, CA for a one-year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. The System Integration Test Engineer will support testing of software-intensive systems in a hardware-in-the-loop system integration lab. This role includes breaking down requirements, developing test cases, manually testing systems, recording test results, creating anomaly reports, and supporting automated test development. The position requires extensive HWIL integration and test experience, tracking tool experience, test automation or scripting experience, and familiarity with Omniview and Mission Planning CONOPS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 16+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 14+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience integrating and/or testing software-intensive systems in a hardware-in-the-loop system integration lab.
  • 5+ years of experience with one or more tracking tools such as JIRA, GitLab, or GitHub.
  • 5+ years of experience with Eggplant, Cucumber, or Python.
  • 5+ years of experience with Omniview and Mission Planning CONOPS.
  • Ability to break down requirements into testable capabilities.
  • Ability to develop test cases that align with system requirements.
  • Ability to manually test systems and record results in test log tools.
  • Ability to create anomaly reports for issues found during testing.
  • Ability to work with software teams to troubleshoot anomaly reports.
  • Ability to develop and communicate long-term hardware integration strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3 candidates with 9+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience helping automation teams develop automated tests.
  • Experience developing failure mode testing for assigned capabilities.
  • Experience working in lab-based system integration environments.

Responsibilities
