System Integration Intern
About The Position
The Systems Integration Intern will support the deployment and implementation of the Maintenance Management Module within the INFOR Visual ERP system. Working with Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and IT personnel, the intern will help develop a preventive maintenance and asset management program. The role focuses on configuring, populating, and optimizing the Visual Maintenance Module, including equipment records, maintenance schedules, process workflows, spare parts inventories, asset hierarchies, and reporting structures. The goal is to help shift maintenance from reactive processes to a data-driven preventive maintenance program that supports operational efficiency, equipment uptime, and manufacturing performance. The position provides hands-on experience with ERP implementation, manufacturing operations, asset management, business process development, and data analytics.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Must be authorized to work and reside in the United States and eligible for any required U.S. Government authorizations, including those related to ITAR and export control regulations.
- Strong interest in manufacturing systems, ERP software, maintenance management, or industrial operations.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and validating information.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to create reports, dashboards, and visual management tools.

- Physical requirements include frequently sitting, talking, hearing, and working at a computer workstation; occasionally walking through manufacturing areas and observing equipment and production processes; and having close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities
- Configure and assist with implementation of the INFOR Visual Maintenance Module.
- Create and maintain master data for manufacturing equipment, facility assets, tooling, and support systems.
- Develop and document equipment hierarchies and asset structures in the ERP system.
- Build preventive maintenance schedules and recurring tasks based on manufacturer recommendations and operational requirements.
- Establish maintenance workflows, work order processes, approval paths, and reporting structures.
- Create and maintain spare parts databases, including inventory links, supplier information, stocking levels, and usage history.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to identify critical equipment and develop maintenance strategies.
- Gather and organize equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, calibration requirements, and technical documentation.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures and work instructions for maintenance management processes.
- Conduct data entry, validation, cleanup, and migration activities for system implementation.
- Develop dashboards, KPI reports, and system metrics to monitor equipment uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, spare parts usage, and maintenance performance.
- Support user testing, system verification, troubleshooting, and process improvements during implementation.
- Assist with employee training and create user guides for maintenance module functionality.
- Generate reports and provide data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings regarding ERP implementation activities.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and ITAR regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
