About The Position

We are seeking a System Implementation & Operational Support Manager to lead and manage team members throughout SAP ERP implementation and operational support projects. This role involves analyzing business requirements, translating them into system solutions, and designing, creating, modifying, maintaining, and improving SAP application systems. The manager will oversee project schedules, resources, deliverables, and stakeholder communications, coordinating with internal teams, business users, and external vendors. Responsibilities also include providing leadership in troubleshooting, issue resolution, system enhancements, and overseeing system maintenance to ensure stable operations. The role supports software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and best practices, requiring regular reporting of project progress, risks, and recommendations to upper management. Additionally, the manager will mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of SAP ERP system implementation experience
  • Project management experience in enterprise application environments
  • Experience managing non-Japanese vendors and global stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with requirements gathering, system analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • SAP Certified Application Associate (or equivalent ERP certification preferred)
