About The Position

Our enterprise-level client is seeking to add a System Engineer to the team in two locations: Gaffney, SC and Gastonia, NC. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extensions and permanent conversion based on performance. The role requires the ability to work in both Gaffney, SC and Gastonia, NC. A drug and background check are required.

Requirements

CCNA certification or similar
Deep understanding of the OSI model or TCP/IP stack
Proven hands-on experience with Cisco gear (1+ years)
Information Security knowledge
Understanding Purdue PERA model/CPwE

Nice To Haves

CCNP certification
OT/ICS knowledge

Responsibilities

Install and configure routing and switching devices following change control process
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network related issues
Monitor network performance proactively
Verify and update network documentation
Ensure network related policies and best practices are followed
Engage with manufacturing areas to identify network requirements
Understand security best practices and offer solutions to the stakeholders
Test and upgrade network equipment to most recent stable version
Liaison between IT/OT departments
Gather communication requirements and translate to Firewall rule requests
Closely working on network Information Security topics such as: Risk/Vulnerability/Asset Management, Incident response/Backup & Recovery, Change Management
