About The Position

Residential/Commercial System Designer & Account Manager We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic solar sales professional that will act as a System Designer and Account Manager to join our team of professionals and enhance our sales efforts on both the residential and commercial business lines. As a System Designer at Cobalt Power Systems, you’ll identify sales opportunities, respond to provided leads, communicate with customers, manage client relationships, and close business. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to quickly build rapport both externally and internally. This role will primarily focus on net new business while cultivating existing relationships to generate additional business with existing clients and partners.

Requirements

Current HIS license or can obtain one shortly after starting
Clean employment and driving record (subject to verification via background check)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in residential and commercial PV systems is a plus

Responsibilities

Intimate knowledge of Solar (PV) and ESS system design and industry trends
Stay knowledgeable of product and/or service offerings and be prepared to provide updates as needed
Be able to explain and demonstrate products and/or services to potential customers
Capable of creating bespoke Solar (PV) and ESS designs using software such as Aurora or Solargraf
Maintain a database of current and potential customers
Identify clients’ needs, using them as potential sales opportunities
Rapid response time to client inquiries and fast turnaround of proposals and price quotes
Keep in contact with customers and potential customers, making outbound calls and following up on leads
Evaluate optimal system configuration and size to maximize ROI for customer
Ability to discuss incentives, payback, peak usage and offset, and other details related to the financial aspects of all deals
Understand financing options commonly offered in the solar industry and specific to both residential and commercial lenders
