About The Position

ARCXIS is seeking a full-time Foundation Designer to join its team in Houston. The role involves preparing structural foundation plans, mainly for residential structures, from architectural drawings, with limited to no supervision. The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD, knowledgeable in post-tension and conventional rebar slab design, and has prior structural design experience, preferably in the residential sector. Candidates must not require employment sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of previous foundation design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of post-tension and conventional (rebar) slab design.
• Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints.
• Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software.
• Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans, and geotechnical reports.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, compute percentages, and use basic algebra and geometry.
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as required.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable work ethic.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Concrete experience outside of Texas.
• Familiarity with building codes.
• Previous structural design experience in the residential sector.
