About The Position

ARCXIS is seeking a full-time Foundation Designer to join its team in Houston. The role involves preparing structural foundation plans, primarily for residential structures, from architectural drawings. The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and knowledgeable in post-tension and conventional rebar slab design, with prior structural design experience, ideally in the residential sector. The position generally follows a Monday–Friday day shift, though additional hours, including weekends, may be required as business needs change. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of previous foundation design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, percentages, algebra, and geometry.
• A team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable work ethic.
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software.
• Concrete experience outside of Texas.
• Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans, and geotechnical reports.
• Familiarity with building codes.
• Previous structural design experience in the residential sector is preferred.
