About The Position

The Advanced System Architecture Group is at the forefront of shaping the future of memory and storage technologies for AI, server, and mobile computing systems. We are a team of innovators focused on solving complex system challenges and developing architectural breakthroughs that improve performance, efficiency, and scalability. Working alongside industry-leading architects and engineers, you'll help define the next generation of memory-centric computing solutions. As a System Architect, you will drive the exploration, modeling, and analysis of innovative memory and storage subsystem architectures. You will collaborate across system architecture, design, software, and engineering teams to identify system bottlenecks, evaluate new concepts, and develop solutions that optimize power and performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence product direction through deep technical analysis, simulation, and architectural innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Strong experience with computer architecture analysis, system-level design, and architectural tradeoff evaluation
  • Experience with large-scale server systems, including memory and storage subsystems
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming, including use of the C++ Standard Template Library (STL)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with memory and storage controller architectures, DDR, NVDIMM, DRAM, NAND, or related memory technologies
  • Experience working with Claude or other Agentic tools in order to develop tools, perform analysis, and optimize code.
  • Knowledge of operating system memory management, firmware, and software development practices
  • Experience using Python, SystemC, or similar modeling and simulation frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate innovative memory and storage subsystem architectures to improve system power and performance
  • Perform system-level modeling and simulation to compare new architectural concepts against existing solutions
  • Design models for controllers, memory devices, processors, interconnects, and related system components
  • Analyze application workloads and memory/storage access patterns to identify optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and architecture teams to assess tradeoffs and drive architectural decisions

Benefits

  • Choice of medical, dental and vision plans
  • Benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury
  • Paid family leave
  • Robust paid time-off program
  • Paid holidays
