About The Position

Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a System and Network Administrator (Mid-Level) to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments. The System and Network Administrator Functions support a 24/7-hour Test operation. This position is 4th shift meaning, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Requirements

  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Experience in certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client
  • Experience in certifying PTEX (Payload Test Executive) and MTEX (Modular Test Executive) Test Servers
  • Experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS
  • Experience with recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter)
  • Experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
  • Previous cybersecurity technical experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Private, Corporate, Charter and/or Military Operations
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent layer 2 and 3 networking experience
  • Experience in Linux servers, Windows OS and network-based storage system
  • Experience in Satellite Test and STE Operations Readiness
  • Experience in certifying Power and Payload Satellite Special Test Equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, deploying Test Software & Configurations, troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity
  • Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements
  • Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work
  • Develop and enhance system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
  • Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support
