About The Position

Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a System and Network Administrator (Mid-Level) to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you’ll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments. The System and Network Administrator Functions support a 24/7-hour Test operation. This position is 4th shift meaning, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives

Requirements

  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Experience in certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client
  • Experience in certifying PTEX (Payload Test Executive) and MTEX (Modular Test Executive) Test Servers
  • Experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS
  • Experience with recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter)
  • Experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
  • Previous cybersecurity technical experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Private, Corporate, Charter and/or Military Operations
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent layer 2 and 3 networking experience
  • Experience in Linux servers, Windows OS and network-based storage system
  • Experience in Satellite Test and STE Operations Readiness
  • Experience in certifying Power and Payload Satellite Special Test Equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, deploying Test Software & Configurations, troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity
  • Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements
  • Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work
  • Develop and enhance system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
  • Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support
