About The Position

The System Analyst Intern will be a vital bridge between our technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders. They will assist senior analysts in evaluating our current IT systems, gathering business requirements, and designing efficient workflows to optimize overall performance, cost savings, and operational metrics.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Junior or Senior standing is preferred, but all eligible students are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Datalogic), or programming languages (Python, Java).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) or project management tools.
  • Relevant coursework or prior internship experience in IT.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior analysts in facilitating workshops or interviews with end-users to document business needs and functional requirements.
  • Analyze existing software applications, user interactions, and data flows to identify inefficiencies or performance bottlenecks.
  • Use data tools to monitor performance trends and translate raw data into actionable management insights.
  • Produce clear, standardized documentation, including system blueprints, data models, user manuals, and workflow diagrams.
  • Work closely with developers, project managers, and business teams to ensure technical solutions align with company goals.
  • Participate in basic system testing and functional troubleshooting to verify that new or modified systems meet design specifications.
