About The Position

We are seeking an experienced System Analyst 3 to serve as a key member of the Design Team supporting enterprise IT initiatives. This role combines business analysis, systems analysis, quality assurance, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement responsibilities within Agile and Waterfall software development environments. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the design, analysis, testing, and delivery of technology solutions across multiple projects. This individual will collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, developers, and leadership to identify business needs, define requirements, improve processes, and ensure successful solution delivery. The successful candidate will support Agile teams utilizing Kanban and Sprint methodologies as well as traditional Waterfall projects. Responsibilities include business process analysis, requirements gathering, user story development, backlog management, testing coordination, stakeholder communication, and project coordination. This role requires strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to proactively contribute to process improvements while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience delivering business analysis and systems analysis artifacts
  • Minimum 10 years of experience extracting requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and use cases
  • Minimum 10 years of experience translating business and product requirements into application requirements and user stories
  • Minimum 10 years of experience documenting and maintaining acceptance standards to support testing and quality assurance
  • Minimum 10 years of experience using Microsoft Office products, including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Server
  • Minimum 10 years of exceptional written and verbal communication experience with demonstrated success working across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with strong Scrum methodology knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years of experience creating wireframes and prototypes using Figma, Balsamiq, or similar tools
  • Minimum 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects, workstreams, and Agile sprints as a Project Coordinator
  • Experience organizing and maintaining product and sprint backlogs
  • Experience with large, multi-module systems
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

  • Must be able to work onsite four days per week during the initial 90-day probationary period

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project teams and business stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and operational needs
  • Conduct requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Develop and maintain business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and supporting documentation
  • Translate business and product requirements into actionable application requirements for development teams
  • Decompose requirements into epics, features, and user stories that are clear, concise, and technically actionable
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Assist Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, and product backlog maintenance
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify business and technical process gaps
  • Analyze existing workflows and recommend process improvements
  • Create process flow diagrams, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams
  • Develop conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and mockups using tools such as Figma or Balsamiq
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and assess business and technical feasibility
  • Ensure proposed solutions balance business value, technical compatibility, and cost effectiveness
  • Define test objectives, test plans, test cases, and quality standards
  • Execute functional and regression testing activities
  • Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
  • Validate that delivered system changes align with documented requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Manage acceptance processes and support quality assurance initiatives throughout project delivery
  • Support Agile delivery teams utilizing Scrum, Kanban, and related methodologies
  • Organize and maintain product and sprint backlogs
  • Track dependencies, risks, issues, and project progress
  • Coordinate small-scale projects and workstreams independently
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, sprint activities, and stakeholder discussions
  • Prepare agendas, document decisions and action items, and distribute meeting notes
  • Develop reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI Desktop
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and analysis
  • Utilize Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools to support project activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and contractors throughout project execution
  • Provide status updates, progress reporting, and risk communications to stakeholders and leadership
