About The Position

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems across complex enterprise environments. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, resolving advanced technical issues, and supporting mission-critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead troubleshooting efforts, support system architecture, and manage performance across servers, networks, and end-user systems while contributing to the design and optimization of enterprise IT environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar environments
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
  • This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
  • Perform advanced Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Manage day-to-day system operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and system optimization
  • Support infrastructure across servers, storage, network devices, and mobile systems
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain system software and components
  • Analyze and resolve complex hardware, software, and integration issues
  • Support system design and contribute to architecture planning efforts
  • Provide detailed analysis and communication for escalated issues and system status
  • Optimize system performance and support capacity planning and resource utilization
