About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join their IT team and support enterprise-level technology initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources to gather requirements, analyze business processes, create user stories, facilitate testing activities, and support both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position may also coordinate small-scale projects or workstreams as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of Business Analysis and Systems Analysis experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with strong understanding of Scrum methodology.
  • Experience managing Product Backlogs and Sprint Backlogs.
  • Experience translating business requirements into application requirements and user stories.
  • Strong experience defining acceptance criteria and managing the acceptance process.
  • Experience working with large, enterprise-level, multi-module systems.
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience independently managing projects or workstreams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) for Agile development and work item tracking.
  • Experience creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries for reporting and analysis.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management tools.
  • Ability to independently manage small projects and workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams and business stakeholders to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze business challenges and perform root cause analysis to identify effective solutions.
  • Document current and future-state business processes using process flows, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Decompose requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist Product Owners in managing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and conceptual prototypes.
  • Evaluate solution alternatives and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • Collaborate with developers, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Develop test objectives, test plans, test cases, and perform regression testing.
  • Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document key decisions, and distribute meeting notes.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates, identify risks, and support issue resolution.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
