The System Administrators must provide Infrastructure Server and Desktop Sustainment services, which the Government will use to enhance and complement High Performance Computing (HPC) sustainment capabilities across two sites and geographic locations. The System Administrator must support installation, deployment, integration, configuration, tuning, and operational support of various hardware including workstations/desktops with a custom Linux operating system, monitors, KVM switches, peripheral devices, printers, multi-function devices, and cabling. The role involves providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, including Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Responsibilities include managing daily IT system operations, assisting users, optimizing system performance, analyzing capacity, and providing in-depth troubleshooting. The administrator will also provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets, support dispatch systems and hardware problems, and configure/manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems, including installing and troubleshooting operating system software and configuring network components.
