About The Position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC. An active Secret clearance is required. This role involves supporting engineering development and maintenance of programs, Linux system administration, network equipment setup and maintenance, and the design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area or equivalent relevant experience is required, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experienced in Linux system administration for small/medium-size networks.
  • Understanding of vulnerability and compliance scanning, analysis of the scan results, and security patching.
  • Working knowledge of Linux hardening.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity specifications, such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and other government security specifications and guidelines.
  • Network architecture and the application of network setup (LAN, NICs, Router Configurations).
  • Experienced in Cisco equipment for small/medium size networks.
  • Hands-on experience setting up networks, including servers, network infrastructure equipment, and network end devices.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to move into new teams and quickly learn project-defined specific processes while applying past knowledge and experience.
  • Proven documentation skills and technical writing.
  • Communicating technical information clearly so that it may be understood by a non-technical individual.

Nice To Haves

  • Linux system administration, RHCSA a bonus.
  • Network+/Security+ or equivalent experience; CISSP a bonus.
  • Cisco experience, CCNP a bonus.
  • Experience with general network administration; Server+/Linux+ a bonus.
