System Administrator - Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI)

About The Position

DTSI is seeking a System Administrator to provide cyber system sustainment and integration services to military organizations across the country. The role supports full-spectrum lifecycle services for existing and emerging technology systems focused on preserving the U.S. military’s freedom of action in the contested cyber domain. The assignment may involve technology identification, development, integration and testing, and product lifecycle support. The System Administrator maintains and supports IT systems, applications, databases, interfaces, and related infrastructure in accordance with disciplined engineering practices and applicable Air Force and Department of Defense standards. The role investigates and resolves complex system anomalies and deficiencies, works with government, military, and contractor personnel to administer and upgrade systems, and maintains operational documentation and procedures. Responsibilities also include reporting on system status and technical work, addressing security non-compliance, assisting users on call, and developing scripts and tools for system maintenance.

Requirements

Four years of experience working as a system administrator within classified environments.
Experience with either Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, or 2016, or Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, CentOS, or other Linux distributions.
Experience with personal cloud and virtualized desktop infrastructure, including VMware Workstation 11 or newer, Citrix XenDesktop 3 or newer, and Oracle VM VirtualBox 4 or newer.
Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
Experience with threat management and intrusion detection and prevention systems such as Trend Micro Deep Security, Snort, Sourcefire, McAfee Anti-Virus, or CloudShield.
Current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification: Security+.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SolarWinds.
Experience or familiarity with AWS, Azure, and application migration.
Database experience with MySQL or SQL Plus.
Ability to work physically with fiber, including cutting, splicing, and connecting.

Responsibilities

Maintain existing IT systems and environments using disciplined engineering practices, and sustain applications, databases, and interfaces in compliance with applicable Air Force and Department of Defense standards.
Investigate, analyze, isolate, characterize, diagnose, resolve, and document complex application software, network, hardware, and operator-induced anomalies and system deficiencies.
Work with government, military, and contractor personnel to support, administer, troubleshoot, modify, and upgrade computer systems, devices, and software.
Perform system work involving firmware configuration, storage, networking, virtual infrastructure management, load balancing, system optimization, system-specific and commercial patching, software installation and updates, backup and restore, and data transfer.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for scripts, programs, process flows, and system configurations; participate in meetings and phone calls.
Provide presentations and recommendations, and report on system status, updates, schedules, and assigned technical tasks, including security non-compliance fixes and analysis of normal system behavior.
Provide on-call user assistance for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
Draft scripts, administration tools, and on-site software to maintain the system.
