About The Position

Prime Video is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive System Administrator to support the Quality Control (QC) program for the Media Systems Engineering, Studios Technology team in Culver City, CA. In this role, you will partner directly with Studios Production and Post-Production executives to coordinate, run, and facilitate Audio and Video review sessions, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained across all Amazon Studios content before it is released on Prime Video. You will be responsible for the end-to-end data management and content lifecycle within the QC ecosystem, including session setup, real-time note-taking during reviews, executive follow-ups, documentation, reporting, and partner onboarding. This is a critical role that sits at the intersection of technology, content operations, and creative stakeholders, requiring someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of solving problems with technology in the Media & Entertainment Industry experience
  • Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with media QC, transcoding, and mastering tools such as Colorfront Transkoder, DaVinci Resolve, Telestream Vantage/Switch, Interra Systems Baton, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Avid Pro tools, Rational Acoustics Smaart, Steinberg WaveLab, Dolby reference Player, NTP-DAD DadMan Software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Media Production, Film/Television, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with media server and playback applications such as Jellyfin, Infuse, Plex, or similar content streaming and media management platforms
  • Familiarity with media asset management (MAM) systems, digital supply chain workflows, and content delivery pipelines
  • Experience with display calibration tools and standards (e.g., CalMAN, LightSpace, Rec. 709, DCI-P3, Rec. 2020, HDR10, Dolby Vision)
  • Experience with audio calibration standards and audio formats such as 2.0, 5.1 multichannel, Immersive EBU and And dolby Atmos, target curves and general audio parameters.
  • Knowledge of network-attached storage (NAS), SAN environments, and file-based media workflows
  • Experience with project management and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Understanding of streaming delivery specifications, adaptive bitrate encoding, and OTT platform requirements for video and audio
  • Experience building or improving operational programs from the ground up, including developing SOPs and training materials
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard and train partners or stakeholders on new processes and technical systems

Responsibilities

  • Run and facilitate Audio and Video QC review sessions end-to-end, serving as the primary operator and point of contact during each session.
  • Take detailed notes during review sessions, capturing executive feedback, technical observations, and action items in real time.
  • Partner with Studios Production and Post-Production executives to schedule and set up QC review sessions, ensuring all content assets and screening environments are prepared.
  • Manage the data lifecycle of content within the QC program, including ingestion, tracking, archival, and metadata accuracy.
  • Configure and maintain session environments, ensuring all technical systems and tools are operational and calibrated for reviews.
  • Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports on session activity, completion rates, and program health metrics.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for QC workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
  • Proactively engage internal and external partners to onboard them to the QC program, providing training and ongoing support.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale the QC program.
  • Maintain quality control standards across all Amazon Studios content, including Global Originals, International Original Series, features, and movies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, content operations, and creative teams to resolve technical issues and improve workflows.
  • Track and escalate content quality issues, ensuring timely resolution before release deadlines.
