About The Position

Azusa Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to operate and maintain internal and customer environments, including Linux servers, virtual machines, shared storage, identity services, and network infrastructure. The role supports unclassified user VMs and shared storage environments, including classified and unclassified systems. Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI with FSP and be local to the DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia area. The System Administrator will administer Oracle Linux systems, manage virtual machines and shared storage, support identity and DNS services, configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, and help assess and remediate vulnerabilities. The role also includes documenting system configurations, procedures, incidents, and changes, and taking ownership of networks to help limit user downtime. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a System Administrator.
Hands-on experience administering Linux systems and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
Ability to maintain reliable services across virtualization, storage, identity, and network components.
Intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco network administration.
Advanced scripting skills, including modifying existing scripts and developing new scripts.
Clear documentation and communication skills.
Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
Active TS/SCI and FSP clearance.
Local to the DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia area.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of CVEs and IAVM management.
Network configuration experience, including Cisco IOS-XE.
Experience with ZFS or comparable storage appliances, such as NetApp or Dell EMC.
Strong virtualization experience with OLVM, oVirt, Proxmox, VMware, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

Administer Oracle Linux 8, 9, and 10 systems, including installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Manage unclassified user virtual machines in Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM).
Maintain Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance (ZS11-2) shared storage for TS and unclassified environments.
Support FreeIPA identity and DNS services for the unclassified environment.
Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity and Cisco IOS-XE devices in coordination with network teams.
Assess Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), track remediation, and support IAVM management.
Document configurations, maintenance procedures, incidents, and system changes.
Take ownership of the networks to ensure limited downtime for users.
