About The Position

SUBMEPP supports the Navy's maintenance efforts by providing scheduling and requirements for planned maintenance periods. The System Administrators on the contract are responsible for making sure the servers and applications that make this possible are kept optimized and running. The contractor shall provide management, configuration, administration, implementation, and optimization of all Server infrastructure throughout the SUBMEPP enclave as well as the ServiceNow platform. The contractor shall manage technologies and processes to sustain and or improve the performance of the server and host infrastructure throughout the enclave and ServiceNow platform. The contractor shall configure the server and host infrastructure in conjunction with DISA STIG, DoD policies, and Vendor best practices.

Requirements

  • Security Clearance Requirements: Secret/T3
  • BS IT degree; Alternate Number of Years Exp.: 7
  • Baseline Certification: Sec+ or SSCP
  • OS/ CE Certification: Microsoft Server/Redhat
  • Team player a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Expertise with networked systems in Windows environment (Server 2019)
  • Experience with Service Now
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Experience with Redhat Linux networked systems

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage use accounts, roles, and permissions within the ServiceNow instance.
  • Ensure proper access controls, including granting and revoking access.
  • Monitor user activity and address any security concerns promptly.
  • Regularly perform health checks and maintenance tasks on the ServiceNow instance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations based on customer needs.
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and updates to keep the instance secure and efficient.
  • Configure modules, tables, and fields to align with business processes.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, business rules, and scheduled jobs in coordination with the Development team.
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated platforms and systems.
  • Manage changes to the SeviceNow configuration and update sets, adhering to change control processes.
  • Coordinate with the Business Analyst and Development teams on all Citizen Development processes and frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Development teams on customizations and enhancements aligning with business requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide support, monitor, and take corrective action as necessary for the server infrastructure and ServiceNow platform.
  • Provision SUBMEPP server infrastructure to support necessary communication requirements.
  • Design, plan and implement sound systems infrastructure strategies.
  • Support network systems planning, data management, and disaster recovery planning best practices and testing.
  • Perform all security patching of host systems in compliance with IAV updates, ACAS reporting and Vendor best practices.
  • Provide backup, recovery and archiving of all host systems configurations.
  • Perform and enable controls to ensure the virtual infrastructure security posture is in compliance with DISA STIGs and DoD SUBMEPP regulations.
  • Provide systems, performance monitoring and traffic monitoring via weekly reports provided to SUBMEPP management.
  • Document incidents using the SUBMEPP ticket tracking system and Knowledge Base articles are published when applicable.
  • Maintain existing and create new WP and update necessary infrastructure documentation in support of this task.
  • Provide support, analysis, and incident resolution; via face-to-face, phone, email, or other electronic means IAW Section 13.2.
