About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate or Experienced System Administrator to join their team on Kirtland AFB or Albuquerque, NM. This role involves system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. The System Administrator will provide support for the design, validation, and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems, as well as problem resolution and technical support. Key responsibilities include administering user system access to meet security requirements, monitoring system performance for capacity planning, and performing backup and disaster recovery planning. The position also entails ensuring system and data availability through monitoring and restore procedures. This role is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
2+ years’ experience operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS (for Associate Level 2)
2+ years’ experience with Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP (for Associate Level 2)
2+ years’ experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V (for Associate Level 2)
2+ years’ experience with hardware, including servers, workstations, and peripheral devices (for Associate Level 2)
2+ years’ experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation (for Associate Level 2)
3+ years’ experience operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS (for Experienced Level 3)
3+ years’ experience with Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP (for Experienced Level 3)

Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning (Experienced Level 3)
