About The Position

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is central to Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon. It is responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system-level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests. Within SE&TC, Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) ensures products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, and delivered on time. LCE disciplines support engineering, program offices, and customers throughout the total product life cycle. The Technical Services Group (TSG) provides total life cycle management for information systems and business applications supporting RTX programs and products globally, specializing in the development, security, and operation of advanced, global mission support systems. As a Windows System Administrator, you will be part of an IT professional team responsible for the development, security, and operation (DevSecOps) of advanced IT products and services supporting RTX programs. You will manage the day-to-day operations of Windows-based servers, desktops, and the Active Directory domain, along with the underlying IT infrastructure services for an advanced DoD aerospace facility. This is an ONSITE position at a customer facility in Chambersburg, PA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Windows desktops and servers in an Active Directory domain.
  • Experience with Intel-based desktop and server hardware.
  • Must have or obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level 1 certification within the first year of employment. (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting desktop computer and printer hardware in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with information assurance and security concepts and experience implementing cybersecurity controls in information systems and networks.
  • Experience with Windows- and Linux-based server operating systems in virtual environments (e.g., VMware).
  • Demonstrable work history showing steady increase in the breadth and depth of systems administration knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Provide IT service desk support to local DoD and Raytheon personnel for local applications and systems.
  • Work closely with local users and remote Raytheon engineers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues as needed.
