Requirements

  • College degree in computer science, IT or a combination of similar training and experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Microsoft systems administration
  • Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Relevant industry certifications: Microsoft (AZ104, AZ305, AZ140), RedHat, CompTIA.
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written. are essential; fluency in French is an important asset.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, responsible, and motivated. Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Availability for rotation on the call schedule in a 24-7 environment

  • Microsoft Azure and Entra ID Administration and Governance.
  • Databases & Data Platforms Administration like Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database
  • O365 Administration
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
  • Knowledge of clusters and high-availability environments
  • Experience with various forms of user authentication: Multi Factor Authentication (MFA),Single Sign-On (SSO), Certificate-Based Authentication, PIM
  • Monitoring tools: SCOM, PRTG
  • Azure and Veeam Backups and Restore
  • Familiar with Dell SAN, NAS, and storage solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere management
  • Experience on incident management (an asset)
  • Experience on Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, Centos) (an asset)
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) or Log Management

Responsibilities

  • Participate on service operations and continual service improvement
  • Keep track, organize and manage information services tickets to respect different SLAs defined in our ITSM
  • Assist internal service desk on escalated internal hardware and software issues
  • Perform in-depth analysis to determine requirements and needs of new services
  • Develop and implement internal support procedures and documentation
  • Participate in major migration projects
  • Participate in the deployment of SaaS or on-premises applications
  • Ensure availability, accessibility, maintenance, and performance of our physical and virtual environments
  • Collaborate on different projects with team members or other IT teams
  • Develop proofs of concept for new services as necessary
  • Perform In-depth root cause investigation to determine short-term and long-term improvements
  • Participate in the management of monitoring tools
  • Understand the scope of the functionalities of internal tools and systems to maximize their use, ensuring technology investments are optimized
  • Carry out all other related tasks per the job’s evolution and departmental needs.
