About The Position

As a Senior System Administrator on the infrastructure support team, you will help ensure the resiliency, performance, and security of the infrastructure. The role includes monitoring systems, resolving incidents, maintaining security, testing business continuity, developing scripted automations and processes, and innovating with technology. You will serve as an infrastructure subject matter expert for portions of the environment and oversee computer systems, operating systems, servers, and application software. Work includes installing, configuring, upgrading, and repairing operating systems and software; configuring user groups and security measures in Active Directory; managing messaging and email services; maintaining network connectivity; and implementing security policies. The role also involves proactive and preventive work such as analytics monitoring, capacity management, system patching, and replacement of end-of-life equipment. The position provides technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, supports incident management and production restoration, and performs maintenance across production technologies. It participates in business continuity testing and provides 24 x 7 infrastructure support through a regular on-call rotation. The position is expected to follow Wings policies and procedures and regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Requirements

At least 3 years of combined experience related to systems administration.
Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details to nontechnical audiences.
Knowledge and experience with regulations and best practices for technical deployments in the financial industry.
Excellent analytical skills.
Experience and knowledge in systems, security, systems administration, disaster recovery, and/or server management.
Experience and knowledge of IT systems and data security in financial institutions or other industries subject to federal regulations.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related technical field of study.
MCSE, MCSA, VMware VCP, or certifications awarded on an installed application.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and guidance to more junior team members.
Troubleshoot systems and resolve issues.
Support incident management, monitor ticket queues, and resolve production performance, server, and application issues to restore the environment.
Repair, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on production technologies.
Proactively monitor platforms to maintain uptime, performance, and service levels for production systems.
Develop processes and training for improved support, create automation to reduce human error, and innovate with technology.
Provide IT infrastructure support as part of the regular 24 x 7 on-call rotation.
Participate in business continuity testing and execution.
Install, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Server Operating System 2019 and newer, including application installations and troubleshooting.
Configure user groups and security measures in Microsoft Active Directory.
Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Office 365.
Follow Wings policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
May assist management with coordinating team activities, including scheduling, shift management, and administrative duties.
Provide input to the manager on staff performance relating to technology; does not prepare or deliver performance reviews.
