About The Position

Kaimetrix is seeking System Administrator – Level II professionals to support the administration and maintenance of enterprise IT systems in a secure, mission-focused environment. This role provides hands-on support for system operations, ensuring availability, security, and performance of systems, servers, and networks in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in system administration or related IT support roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Baseline certification such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification aligned to DoD requirements
  • Active Tier 3 (T3) background investigation or ability to obtain and maintain

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise servers, operating systems, and networked environments under established guidelines
  • Perform user account management, including account creation, modification, and access control enforcement
  • Monitor system performance and availability, identifying and addressing issues to maintain operational continuity
  • Execute routine system maintenance, patching, and updates in accordance with cybersecurity requirements
  • Assist in backup and recovery operations to support data protection and system resilience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues, escalating complex problems as needed
  • Support configuration management activities to maintain system baselines and compliance standards
  • Assist in implementing security controls and maintaining adherence to applicable IT security policies
  • Create and update system documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational records
  • Support system upgrades, installations, and technology refresh efforts
  • Ensure users have reliable and secure access to systems and services required for mission operations
