About The Position

The Systems Administrator is part of the local operations team based in Atlanta, GA. This role combines 24x7 operational support for lottery and iLottery environments with responsibility for infrastructure, network, data center, facilities, remote-site technology, and end-user support across Georgia operations. There is 30% travel to Claims Centers throughout GA, Pick & Pack Warehouse in Duluth, GA and Depot in Austell, GA. Travel mileage is reimbursed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware and virtualized environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telecommunications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise storage, backup, security, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to support after-hours maintenance and emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

  • VMware, Microsoft, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ certifications.
  • Experience with data center operations, FileMaker Pro Server, and enterprise security practices.
  • Experience with automation and scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), storage systems, telecommunications, and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and support WAN, LAN, wireless, internet connectivity, firewalls, and enterprise systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, escalation, patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and failover support.
  • Monitor SAN storage, data center equipment, HVAC, UPS, PDU, and environmental systems.
  • Provide desktop, laptop, device, printer, scanner, label printer, and conference room technology support.
  • Support remote claim centers and operational sites, including travel as required.
  • Coordinate vendors, telecommunications providers, contractors, and service organizations.
  • Maintain documentation, technical procedures, inventory, warranties, and maintenance contracts.
  • Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure lifecycle management, and technology refresh projects.
  • Author and maintain production procedures and cross-train with team members.
  • Monitor security alerts and support enterprise security and compliance activities.
