About The Position

Guardian Security Services is seeking Security Officers to support a luxury commercial building in New York City. This client-facing role helps maintain building safety and security while providing a professional, courteous presence for tenants, guests, and vendors. Officers support a safe, well-managed property and may perform a combination of duties based on site needs. The position lists full-time and part-time options and morning shifts. Pay is $22.00 per hour. C-Cure computer skills are required.

Requirements

Valid New York State Security Guard License.
8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate.
16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate.
C-Cure computer skills are a must.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or other customer-facing security roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for residents, guests, and vendors.
Monitor building access points and remain aware of building activity.
Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas of the building.
Monitor surveillance cameras and building security systems.
Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies and security concerns.
Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports.
Assist with package handling and vendor deliveries when required.
Maintain control and documentation of building and concierge keys.
Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
Coordinate with building management and property staff to support daily operations.
Enforce building policies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Communicate clearly during shift transitions to ensure operational continuity.
