The Syndications Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for developing and expanding senior secured lending opportunities by building strong relationships with originating lenders and strategic partners. This role serves as a trusted advisor to lending institutions, helping identify financing opportunities, structure complex credit solutions, and support successful multi-lender transactions. Working as part of the Syndications & Trading team, the BDO partners closely with originating lenders to qualify opportunities, evaluate transaction structures, provide pricing guidance, and advance lending opportunities from initial prospect through closing. Success in this role is driven by relationship development, influence, and collaboration rather than direct portfolio management. The position focuses on growing Farm Credit Bank of Texas' syndicated lending business by leveraging industry expertise, market knowledge, and strong business relationships. The BDO works across internal teams, including Credit, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Legal, and Credit Administration, to deliver creative financing solutions that meet borrower needs while supporting the Bank's strategic objectives. Operating with a high degree of independence, the Syndications Business Development Officer represents the Bank throughout the marketplace, identifies new business opportunities, influences lending outcomes through trusted partnerships, and promotes the Bank's reputation as a leading provider of senior secured lending and syndication solutions.
