About The Position

Turtle is seeking an experienced Switchgear Specialist to join its team in Stoughton, Massachusetts. The role is responsible for interpreting blueprints and electrical drawings and using manufacturer software to prepare customer quotes. The specialist estimates commercial construction projects, coordinates bids and projects with internal and external parties, and supports project management after a sale. The role also manages customer and vendor relationships, maintains detailed project documentation, and provides customer service.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in the electrical business.
Understanding of switchgear.
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Strong organization skills and ability to establish customer relationships.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Nice To Haves

Experience working directly with electrical contractors is highly desirable.
A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred; extensive experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

Estimate commercial construction projects.
Read blueprints and electrical drawings and use electronic bid management software and manufacturer software to prepare quotes.
Manage multiple projects during the bid stage and help manage projects after a sale.
Organize the bid schedule according to project complexity and due dates.
Coordinate bids and projects with the branch manager and outside and inside sales teams.
Ensure timely project completion and project profitability.
Manage and coordinate with all internal and external parties involved in orders.
Manage and maintain vendor and customer relationships.
Provide customer service that distinguishes Turtle & Hughes from competitors.
Follow established standards and procedures for project reporting, communication, and documentation.
Maintain detailed records of pricing quotes, change orders, and internal and external correspondence.
