About The Position

Milkco is seeking a 3rd Shift Switcher Driver to work in its shipping yard in Asheville. A CDL is not required, and the company will train the right candidate. The role involves moving trailers around the yard, recording trailer temperatures and yard inventory, washing trailers, and general shipping yard management. The position offers a rotating two-week schedule, with days off varying by week; the listed shifts include evening and overnight hours. Drivers return home after each shift.

Milkco is a fluid milk plant that processes, bottles, and ships fluid milk, juice, tea, and eggnog. Established in 1982 with 50 employees, the plant has grown to more than 250 employees. The company describes its work as steady and stable and notes opportunities to learn, grow, and advance.

Compensation includes automatic pay reviews at 60 days and annually, shift differentials, and payment for MEC renewal at any time and CDL renewal after one year. Employment screening includes a pre-employment drug screen provided by Milkco, a criminal background check, and E-Verify screening. The job requires working outdoors in variable weather.
