About The Position

PIVOT POINT INC. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Full Time 1st Shift CNC Set-Up Operator/Programmer position due to an upcoming retirement. This role involves setting up and operating CNC machining centers and lathes, including Swiss Tsugami and Doosan models. The operator will be responsible for creating and editing programs from blueprints, producing parts within specifications, and inspecting these parts using appropriate equipment. Key tasks include setting up CNC lathes, tools, work holding, and determining work coordinates. The position also requires assisting and training other operators, collaborating with engineering and the production manager, and cross-training on additional machinery. The ideal candidate will be capable of producing samples on various machines throughout the facility.

Requirements

Experience in metal manufacturing required.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of what is needed to produce quality parts with close tolerances.
Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
Solid, long-term, consistent work history.

Nice To Haves

Capability of creating CNC programs from scratch, utilizing PartMaker, FeatureCam or other similar programs is ideal.

Responsibilities

Set-up and operate CNC machining centers and lathes, including Swiss Tsugami and Doosan.
Create and edit programs from blueprints.
Produce parts within specifications.
Inspect parts produced with inspection equipment as required.
Set-Up CNC lathes, set tools, install/adjust work holding, determine work coordinates.
Assist and train other operators.
Work closely with engineering and production manager.
Cross train to learn to set up and operate additional machinery.
Produce samples utilizing various machines throughout the facility.
