About The Position

This role involves performing setup operations on a variety of machines to precise tolerances and finish specifications, requiring a high degree of skill. The operator will identify necessary materials and the type of part to be produced, load raw materials, and attach them to the machine for forming. A key aspect of the role is the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with setups or tooling that cause machine downtime or result in parts being out of specification. The operator will be responsible for running multiple machines simultaneously and routinely checking parts for conformance to specifications. Adherence to written instructions (VA's), reading print specifications, and following safety, quality, and LEAN standards are crucial. The position also requires promoting and adhering to the company's core values, maintaining punctual work-site attendance, and following all company policies and instructions.

Requirements

High degree of skill in performing setup operations on diversified machines to close and exact tolerances and finish specifications.
Ability to identify material needed and the type of part to be produced.
Ability to load raw material and attach it to the machine for forming.
Ability to problem solve issues with setups or tooling.
Ability to run several machines simultaneously.
Ability to routinely check parts for conformance to specifications.
Ability to follow written instructions (VA’s) and read print specifications, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform setup operations on a diversified line of machines to close and exact tolerances and finish specification requiring a high degree of skill.
Identify material needed and the type of part to be produced.
Load the applicable raw material and attach it to the machine to ready for forming.
Problem solve any issues with setups or tooling that cause the machine to go down or for parts to be out of specification.
Run several machines simultaneously.
Routinely check parts for conformance to specifications.
Follow written instructions (VA’s) and read print specifications, or equivalent.
Promote and adhere to WWP’s safety standards, procedures, and training, including all OSHA standards.
Promote and adhere to WWP’s quality standards, procedures, inspections, work instructions, and ISO procedures.
Promote and adhere to LEAN training, including looking for any opportunities for continuous improvement within the daily job functions.
