The CNC Machine Operator runs computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC Machine Operator loads parts in the machine, cycles the machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The operator runs production orders, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment while adhering to our quality standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to read tape measure, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ability to speak, hear, read, and be trained in the English language.
  • Ability to perform basic math with decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of related experience highly preferred.
  • Certified/technical training.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all assigned machine shop operations.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition in accordance with shift hand-off procedures and follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, and sanding tasks.
  • Performs quality inspection of machined products, and documents results according to quality standards.
  • Completes and maintains quality paperwork for parts.
  • Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-out of parts, filtration of coolant and burnishing tasks.
  • Follow all company rules, continuous improvement initiatives, quality standards and safety policies (OSHA).
  • Ensure production schedule completion.
