About The Position

This is a developing machinist role for someone with practical lathe experience, basic machining knowledge, and an interest in developing further in CNC Swiss machining. Swiss experience is preferred, but candidates with a solid lathe foundation and the ability to learn will also be considered. The role includes support and hands-on instruction from experienced team members.

Requirements

• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant machining experience is the target; practical skills and readiness to learn matter more than an exact year count.
• Hands-on lathe experience and basic machining knowledge.
• Ability to follow instructions, work carefully, and communicate when help is needed.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and technical documents.
• Knowledge of using calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins.

Nice To Haves

• CNC lathe experience.
• Some Swiss machining exposure or experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned CNC lathe or Swiss equipment according to work instructions and established safety practices.
• Monitor production, check parts, and communicate tooling, dimensional, or machine issues to the lead machinist.
• Read part drawings and use appropriate measuring tools to verify work meets specifications.
• Make routine adjustments and assist with tooling or setup activities within demonstrated skill level and training.
• Develop Swiss machining skills through hands-on instruction and feedback from the team.
• Maintain an organized work area and accurate production and inspection records as required.
