About The Position

Powder Coating Systems is seeking a Swing Shift Packing Lead to join our team. This is an hourly, full-time management position responsible for leading a team in inspecting and packing coated jobs, ensuring documentation is complete for invoicing, and backing up the Swing Supervisor. The role requires leading by example and involves physical tasks such as standing, bending, crouching, and handling parts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supervising a team and operating a forklift, with the ability to manage quality control and drive job completion.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in a shop environment.
• 2-5 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift safely.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work daily.
• Must have legal documentation to complete an I-9. (Copies are not accepted.)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a paint/powder shop.
• Experience using hand tools, air tools, power tools and an indoor crane.
• Mechanically minded.
• Bilingual a plus. (English and Spanish)
• Experience in using a tablet to record information.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team to inspect and pack jobs that have been coated.
• Ensuring documentation is complete to turn into the office for invoicing.
• Backing up the Swing Supervisor in case of absence or vacation.
• Standing, bending, crouching, hanging and taking parts off of racks.
• Handling a tablet to record time on tasks.
• Leading by example.
• Reading and completing work orders for special packing instructions.
• Noticing quality issues and setting parts up to be redone.
