About The Position

The Swine Nutrition Research Technician assists with swine nutrition and production research trials that help answer questions for producers and advance the pork industry. The role works with Nutrition, Research, and Sow Production teams; collects and records research data; and supports animal care and research activities. The position is based in Pipestone, Minnesota, and involves work at rural sow farms, wean-to-finish barns, and PIPESTONE office locations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of swine production experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Research experience.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with swine nutrition and production research trials.
• Collect and record accurate research data.
• Work alongside Nutrition, Research, and Sow Production teams.
• Participate in animal care activities, including weighing, tagging, bleeding, and feeder measurements.
• Maintain research records and enter data using Microsoft Excel.
• Follow research protocols, biosecurity standards, and safety procedures.
• Help identify and solve research and operational challenges.
