About The Position

Aquatics Academy is seeking experienced swim instructors with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience to guide students in learning to swim. Instructors with strong backgrounds and consistent attendance will be offered 4-hour shifts. The typical schedule includes Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm, and Monday to Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm. Substitute instructors are also needed. This role offers a great, drama-free working environment with excellent staff retention. The pools are warm and comfortable, averaging 86-88 degrees Fahrenheit. Instruction will be provided for semi-private and private classes, with no large groups. The majority of students are between 3 and 10 years old. All necessary training equipment is provided, and additional gear can be requested. Paid holidays and snow days are offered if they fall on a regular work schedule. The pay rate is $32.50 per hour as a 1099 contractor with set hours, and $37.50 per hour as a 1099 contractor for substituting. Student attendance or class size does not affect pay. The rolling schedule allows instructors to develop and progress with their students through different levels, as there are no session-style schedules. This is a year-round, non-seasonal position. A standard background check is required. A copy of your photo ID, SS card, and certifications are necessary. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications must be current.
