Swim Instructor - Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatic Center
About The Position
The Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatic Center is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool! This part time position starts at $14.00 per hour. Swim instructors should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for swim instructors who have flexible work schedules and the ability to work with a variety of ages. Using tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of participants teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
Requirements
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead swim lessons for program participants.
- Teach swimming skills, basic water safety, and YMCA core values.
- Work with small groups of participants.
