About The Position
The Chickahominy Family YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool! This part time position starts at $14.00 per hour. Swim instructors should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for instructors who can work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages. Using a variety of tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
Requirements
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis, Lifeguard and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead swim lessons for program participants.
- Work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
