About The Position
The Sumner County YMCA is seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join their team. This role is vital in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where participants can build lifelong swimming skills. The ideal candidate will love the water and helping others learn to swim with confidence.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 16
- Ability to swim at an intermediate level
- New Hire Orientation before your first shift.
- CPR Pro/AED/First Aid within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications preferred (the organization can assist in obtaining these).
Responsibilities
- Lead swim classes in the water, ensuring safety, fun, and progression for all participants.
- Teach proper swimming techniques using organized lesson plans.
- Encourage growth and provide regular feedback to swimmers and parents.
- Help keep equipment organized.
- Contribute to a positive Y experience for every member.
