About The Position
Develop and teach private and group swim lessons for the Penn community. Students range from infants to adults.
Requirements
- Prior group or private lesson teaching experience
- Candidates will be asked about their swim instruction knowledge and asked to swim.
- Candidates should be prepared to provide a resume and references upon request
Nice To Haves
- Former swimmers of any level
- Hold a swim lesson instructor certification
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients in achieving their swimming goals
- Providing support and encouragement when teaching skills
- Maintaining a courteous and polite demeanor
- Attending a swim instructor staff meeting once per semester
- Keeping accurate records of lessons
- Updating a client roster in google sheets regularly
- Scheduling lessons with clients
- Reading and responding to emails about available clients
- Completing report cards for group lessons participants
