About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pools. We are looking for swim instructors with open availability. The pay for this part-time position starts at $14.00 per hour. Applicants should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for swim instructors who can work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages. Using a variety of tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.

Requirements

• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Open availability.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages.

Nice To Haves

• Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons for program participants.
