About The Position
The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching private, semi-private, and group swim lessons for members and guests, following established facility policies and procedures. Instructors play a key role in ensuring participant safety while fostering confidence, skill development, and a love of swimming. This role also requires maintaining a clean and safe pool environment and supporting the overall aquatics program.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, enthusiastic, and motivating personality
- Passion for swimming and teaching children
- Safety- and customer-service–focused mindset
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a swim instructor preferred
- Willing to train the right candidates
- Current certifications preferred: Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), CPR/AED/First Aid
Responsibilities
- Teach swim lessons for a variety of ages and skill levels
- Ensure safety and proper use of pool facilities and deck areas
- Attend required staff trainings and team meetings
- Deliver outstanding customer service to members, guests, and families
